This Year's Theme is "Within Reach"

The PTSA Art Committee is excited to bring back “Reflections” again this year. Reflections is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition. The purpose of the program is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. Each year, Reflections challenges students to create art that supports a specific theme.  This year's theme is "Within Reach".

What Are The Art Categories?

There are 6 arts areas that students can submit entries for. The six areas are: Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Film/Video, and Choreography/Dance. Students decide which category or categories they would like to submit an entry for.

When Are The Entries Due Back To School?

All entries submitted by category are judged and the winning entries for each category for our school are sent on to our local PTA Council who then submits the winning entries for the Snoqualmie Valley School District to the Washington State PTA. The deadline for students to submit entries back to school is Friday, December 1st, 2017.  Please ensure your child turns in a student entry form with their arts entry to the school office by the due date above.

Where Can I Get An Entry Form?

The Student Entry Form and the Rules and Guideline for each category can be found below as well as on the Reflections Bulletin Board at school in the front hallway. It is important that each student follow these guidelines prior to submitting an entry in any of the categories. Additional information about the Reflections program can also be found at WA State PTA Reflections.

If your child is interested in submitting an entry in one or more categories, please fill out a Student Entry Form and turn it in to your child’s teacher with their completed arts project no later than Friday, December 1st, 2017.
