The PTSA's Annual Drive to Fund Educational Excellence for our Students Starts Now!

We’re walking again! The Fall City Elementary PTSA is holding its 18th annual Walk-A-Thon on Thursday, October 4th.  The Walk-A-Thon pledge envelopes will be sent home on Friday, September 14th with each student. Start collecting pledges so we can make our 2018-2019 PTSA Walk-A-Thon fundraising goal of $57,000.

The Walk-A-Thon emphasizes fitness, team work, goal setting, and school spirit. Each year over 125 parents help to make this event a huge success for the kids. It is one of our favorite traditions within the FCES community!  Our students and staff walk together for two hours on one of the two 1/8 mile tracks that are marked out on the school’s play fields (K to 2nd grade on the north track, 3rd to 5th grade on the south track). The PTSA provides music, snacks, water, and lots of team spirit.

Every child benefits with your donation---guaranteed. One hundred Percent (100%) of funds raised at Walk-A-Thon are allocated to PTSA-supported programs and events, technology, and staff and school grants. Your donation toward our annual Walk-A-Thon goal will make a significant and positive difference on the learning experience at FCES this school year.

How To Donate

Start collecting pledges and encourage online donations!  Ask for pledges from friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. Send a "Friends and Family" pledge email to make pledge collecting easier.  Friends and Family do not have to be authorized users of the PTSA website to make an online donation.  They can donate online by clicking on the "Friends and Family Donate" button below.

Pledge Envelopes are due back to school by Friday, October 12th.  Please make checks payable to FCES PTSA.  Donations may be tax deductible.

 Corporate Matching

Double your Walk-A-Thon donation with corporate matching funds! Many local employers have matching programs including Microsoft, Intuit, D.A.Davidson, Boeing, Starbucks, f5, Expedia, Costco, Biogen, and many many more! Not sure if your employer offers matching? Ask your HR representative and/or Lori Kissick.

Complete the match process by visiting your employer’s internal giving website and selecting Fall City Elementary PTSA 2.18.15 using Tax ID/EIN: 91-1318714 as the organization to receive the matching funds. If you are able, PLEASE include your name, child’s name, and "WAT" in any places asking for donor information. Leaving the match request form blank or from “anonymous” could cause us not to receive the funds and not credit them to your child’s fundraising total. Then print or email the confirmation of your match request to Sinead Mettler. In order for your child to receive credit for your employer matching funds, confirmation of your match request must be received by Friday, October 13th. Please CLICK HERE for an example confirmation email. If you have any questions on this process, please contact Lori Kissick.

Additionally, Boeing, Microsoft and other employers offer generous volunteer HOURS matching programs as well. If you or your spouse works for any of these companies and volunteers at the school (you can combine hours across Reading Buddies, Walk-A-Thon, Watch DOGS, etc.), please contact Lori Kissick to log these hours and convert your time spent at school into free money for the PTSA!

Volunteer

We would greatly appreciate your help on the day of Walk-A-Thon!  Parent volunteers can help with set up, clean up, lap counting, snack tables, taking class photos, and by monitoring the walkers for their health and safety. It’s a positive and rewarding experience to be a part of approximately 750 students, staff, and parents who are all outside and walking together in support of the educational experience at FCES. Don't forget to submit your hours if you work for a a company that matches volunteer hours!   VOLUNTEER NOW
